A 10-day Fly & Drive to Vancouver Island. It starts and ends in Vancouver. It includes whale watching and bear watching tours from Tofino and Campbell River. It also includes Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, and Whistler, the host city of the 2010 winter Olympic Games.

Day 1 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Vancouver.

Upon your arrival in Vancouver, pick up your car and head to your hotel. Devote the rest of the day to visiting Vancouver, the biggest city of British Columbia. Welcome to British Columbia! Your Fly & Drive just started! Overnight accommodation in Vancouver.

 

Day 2 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Vancouver - Victoria.

Early in the morning, you will head to the ferry terminal to get on board to Vancouver Island. The crossing will take a bit more of an hour and half. Once in Vancouver Island, head to Victoria, capital city of British Columbia. On your way, we recommend you visit the Butchart Gardens, one of the world's premier show gardens and a designated National Historic Site of Canada. Overnight accommodation in Victoria.

 

Day 3 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Victoria - Pacific Rim National Park.

After visiting Victoria, your Fly & Drive will head north through the Coastal Drive. On you way, you will pass Ladysmith and Duncan, known by its totems collection. Finally you will get Pacific Rim National Park, one of the best places in Vancouver Island to see whales and bears. Overnight accommodation in Tofino or Ucluelet.

 

Day 4 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Pacific Rim National Park.

Today, we recommend you book two fantastic tours. The first one, early in the morning, will give you the opportunity to see grizzly bears roaming around the Pacific Rim beaches, looking for cockles. The second one, at midday, will focus on the observation of whales, orcas, sea lions and also, you may be able to see bald eagles. Overnight accommodation in Tofino or Ucluelet.

 

Day 5 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Pacific Rim National Park - Campbell River.

Devote part of your day to visiting Pacific Rim National Park. Later on, your Fly & Drive will take you to Campbell River, on the eastern shores of Vancouver Island. Campbell River is not just one of the most charming villages of Vancouver Island, but also the gateway to Strathcona Provincial Park, the oldest provincial park in British Columbia. Overnight accommodation in Campbell River.

 

Day 6 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Campbell River.

Today, we recommend you visit Strathcona and Elk Falls Provincial Parks. You can also take the ferry to Quadra and Cortes Islands, from where it is possible to book a kayak tour through the waters of Georgia Strait. Overnight accommodation in Campbell River.

 

Day 7 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Campbell River - Whistler.

Your Fly & Drive will take you back to Vancouver, from where you will drive to Whistler through the Sea To Sky Highway, one of the most beautiful scenic roads of British Columbia. On your way, we suggest you stop at Shannon Falls and Alicia Lake Provincial Park. Overnight accommodation in Whistler.

 

Day 8 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Whistler - Vancouver.

Devote your day to visiting Whistler, which is considered to be the greatest ski resort in North America and paradise for lovers of outdoor activities. Later on, your Fly & Drive will take you to Vancouver, a cosmopolitan city whose ethnical diversity is reflected in its rich mosaic of neighbourhoods. Overnight accommodation in Vancouver.

 

Day 9 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Vancouver Airport.

There, we recommend you visit Stanley Park, a world renowned park that is well worth the visit; Gastown district , a national historic site that is considered to be the birthplace of this city; English Bay Beach and Granville Island Market. To make it easier for you to go from one place to another, we recommend that you take the sightseeing bus. Later on, head to the airport . Remember to return the car with a full tank of gas and in the same conditions the rental company delivered it to you. Check in your luggage, go through security check and get on the plane back home. Day 10 Fly & Drive British Columbia: Arrival in your home country.

Arrival in your home country. End of your Fly & Drive British Columbia and end of our services.

Minimum age for car rental is 21.

A minimum of one year valid driver's license from country of origin must be presented at time of rental.

The driver must also present an International driver's license issued in the same jurisdiction.

The driver must also present 2 credit cards to be able to rent a car.

The driver must also present  a passport valid for at least 6 months after entering the country.

All drivers under the age of 25 will be subject to a surcharge of 25 CAD$ per day, subject to change.

Certain car classes may not be available to drivers under age 25.

Certain locations and classes of car require 3 forms of identification as a condition to rent a car.

Wildlife and nice weather conditions are not guaranteed.
