Antarctica Expeditions: South Georgia IslandsTundra Travel

South Georgia Islands are a natural paradise only comparable to the Galapagos Islands.

In South Georgia you'll find the biggest colonies of King penguins, as well as gentoo, macaroni and rockhopper penguins. You'll find also elefant seals and fur seals in their beaches, as well as humpback whales on their waters.

But South Georgia is not only known for its abundant wildlife, but also for being the place where you'll find some of the most inspiring landscapes of the Antarctic Convergence.

It is possible to travel to South Georgia between October and March aboard small expedition ships. Check here our departure calendar.
